It has been a while since I read this one, but I rated it quite high on Goodreads.com and thought it might be a good suggestion for a gift at this time of year. Odds are kids have not read this one, and a lot of kids I know love mysteries. I read about it and decided to check it out, and I am glad I did. I have always loved mysteries, and this one was a great one. It was not predictable as some young readers' mystery books can be, and it contained a very well done aspect of life from an autistic child's point of view. That is not always done well, but here it was. The character (Ted) even reminded me of many of the students I have had in the past. Ted and Kat, a brother and sister, team up to solve a disappearance in a book that will definitely keep the attention of older elementary readers.
